Coinciding with the Ten Days of Imamate and Wilayah and marking the blessed anniversary of the birth of Imam Hadi (AS), a spiritual ceremony was held to raise the sacred flag of the Iwan of Najaf above the holy dome of Imamzadeh Taher (AS), attended by pilgrims, devotees of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), and the servants of this holy shrine.
According to the Department of Public Relations and Islamic Communications of the Holy Shrine, the ceremony was attended by the Deputy for Cultural and Academic Affairs of the shrine and a number of senior officials of this heavenly sanctuary. During the event, the blessed flag bearing the name of Amir al-Mu'minin, Imam Ali (AS), which had been brought from the Holy Alawi Shrine in Najaf, was ceremonially raised above the dome of Imamzadeh Taher (AS).
During this spiritual gathering, eulogists of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) recounted the virtues of the Prophet's household, and together with the lovers of the Family of God, expressed their devotion to this radiant lineage.
The raising of the sacred flag of the Shrine of Amir al-Mu'minin (AS) symbolizes the spiritual bond among holy shrines and serves to promote the culture of Wilayah and Imamate. The ceremony was held as part of the commemorations marking the Ten Days of Wilayah and to deepen love and devotion toward the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) among the people.
